A professional polygraph examination is far more than just attaching sensors and asking questions. To guarantee ethical and legal compliance, as well as the highest possible accuracy of the results, every session in our Brasov office follows a rigorous three-step protocol:
This is the most critical stage (taking approximately 1 to 1.5 hours). During this phase, the examiner comprehensively reviews the context of the case with the subject. We explain how the sensors and instrument work and formulate the exact questions together. There are absolutely no surprise questions! The subject will know the exact phrasing of every question before the test starts, ensuring absolute comprehension and avoiding involuntary reactions caused by shock or confusion.
The sensors (pneumographs, blood pressure cuff, and electrodermal plates) are attached to the subject, and charts are recorded (taking around 30 to 45 minutes). The questions formulated during the pre-test stage are asked multiple times, spaced out at precise intervals, in a soundproofed and distraction-free testing environment. The subject answers strictly with "YES" or "NO".
Once the test is finished, the examiner mathematically and probabilistically evaluates the physiological variations recorded on the charts. A detailed Polygraph Expert Report is compiled, featuring the methodology, the specific questions asked, the collected charts, and a clear conclusion regarding the truthfulness of the subject. This report is delivered securely to the contracting client under strict professional confidentiality.
